If you are a student at school wanting to get onto the veterinary medicine course, a veterinary student, a member of the veterinary profession, another veterinary association or otherwise then welcome to the website for the Association of Veterinary Students (AVS)!

AVS is a representative body and the voice of veterinary students in the UK and Ireland. We also host two of the biggest events in the veterinary student social calendar – AVS Sports weekend and AVS Congress.

Recently graduated vet, Jennifer Hall, spent a day recording with BBC Radio 4 about vets and farming. In the programme, she talks about the relationship between vets and farmers and the importance of preventative medicine as the future of the vet within the farming industry.
