14th-22nd December 2007

AVS has always been about maximising your experience at vet school. Through the year we bring you many events to help achieve this and get you all to meet other vet students. The annual AVS ski trip has been incredibly popular and with two hugely successful ski trips in recent memory, what have we got in store this year?

From 14th to 22nd December we are taking you all to Tignes Val Claret for 6 days of fun on the slopes. If you canít ski what better time to learn! Or why not try your hand at snowboarding? AVS caters to all abilities, with a week of lessons for beginners, 3 days for novices or simply take to the slopes with friends and enjoy. You do NOT want to miss out on another fantastic week.

The last two years we have skied in some of the most challenging, exciting and breathtaking resorts. 2005 we brought the New Year in twice on our first night there and managed to excel ourselves on the slopes and in many a French bar. AprŤs ski is one of the unique elements of the AVS ski trip. Whether itís skiing dressed as a pig or throwing shapes in your best Hawaiian shirt there is something every night to wind down and leave you feeling ever so slightly giddy the next day. Last year Val Thorens was our choice and there was no shortage of skiing. With access to the worlds largest linked ski area we all had our work cut out. Itís safe to say the bar has been set for AVS ski to be one of the highlights of the year.

The base price this year is £289 which includes ski pass for 6 days, accommodation, and return transport by executive coach. You have the option to hire ski equipment, book lessons and food packages as well as your all important AVS ski hoodie, very popular in London Fashion week.
